Tonight was tough!! On Thursdays, I work at a shelter for homeless people, and there was enough smoke in the air to look like a full-blown factory. My mind was filled with smoking thoughts..nagging ones; relentless for an hour. I kept walking into the back storeroom to say a prayer. ( I know God is rooting for me :) )
At one point, I looked into the fridge and found an entire package of Halloween candy. I started with one mini Butterfinger. It seemed to satisfy the craving I was having. Well, one turned into 2 and then into 6 I think. I was feeling guilty at first, but then a thought came to me. It was far better to have these candy bars tonight if it kept me from smoking. I am home now and going out for a long walk with my dog. Have to burn off some of the calories from the candy. :)
Just needed to share tonight. Feeling much better.
see you all soon,
sally
