Can things get worse? Sure. Have they? YUP. Well, now this one "friend" of hers makes a point to have this get-together Iwith the 4 of us) on a sunday to discuss plans and she knew I couldn't do Sundays. Sorry, my boys come back from their dad. They take precendence. I swear I want to strangle someone. Glad this happened after I put my pledge in for the weekend. I dont back down from promises made here so at least I know I wont back down from my quit over the weekend. :eg: NOW I want that virtual pet Gonna!!! I am going to stuff it where she wont ever find it and it will drive her batty!!! Reward?? Heck I forgot about a reward. 150 days longer than I thought I could ever go without a smoke. Guess it is time for a reward. I've decided I'm going to go see a movie coming out tonight (well here anyways). I love Tim Allen Movies so I think I will see Santa Clause 3. Order a LARGE buttered (lots of butter) popcorn and sit and hold my hubby's hand (even though he doesn't deserve a reward, it would be my reward to take him away from smokes for a couple hours lol). Thanks for the suggestion. Guess even I need reminding of rewards once in a while. Denise(ParrotLady) you are so very right. I've decided to focus on what to get her versus the party setting help. Yes I'm hurt, but out of my control. Had to read the Serenity Prayer and remind myself that I need to change it if I want to since I can. Its about the baby and everyone is right. I will be alright. One of my co-workers slipped and decided to go back to smoking after 1 1/2 years of his quit. Quite disturbing but it is his quit. Anyways, I will be back monday to check in!!! Hi Kim, I think you have right to be a little ticked off at this, senority should count for something in friendship, right?? Don't worry about being mad. If you want to be mad, go ahead, but in the end, you love your friend, so you will do whatever it takes to make sure she has a fun time welcoming her baby here with all of you. Moms are always expected to "be nice". Can you hear me laughing????? We're not always nice when we are not smoking, but they will get over it sweetie. As far as the Tamagchi, feed it or play with it. I laugh at my daughter's I asked her one day why it was jumping all over the screen and acting CRAZY - she looked at me like I was nuts and said, Uh, Mom, that's what they do when they're happy! And I thought maybe I could use a lesson from the Tamagachi and do a little jumpin of my own. I hope this all works itself out. I have said this before, but tomorrow it will NOT seem like such a big deal. Hang in there and protect that GREAT quit! Cheermom! YOU ARE NOT PATHETIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and there isn't a thing wrong with you. Take some deep breaths. You are merely learning to live life without the crutch of smoking. Be patient with yourself it takes time. After a while, you will realize that you don't reach for that cigarette when things happen. It will come to you. Just hang in there and keep taking it one day at a time. You are doing an Awesome job! Don't forget that. YOU are AWESOME!!!!!!!! Sounds like reward time to me. Do something for yourself. In case you don't want to trash the pet... it if wants to eat you have to figure out how to feed it. If it wants to go out, take it out. Sometimes they just want to play. It could take your mind off of craving if you really sit down and try to figure it out. You may even have fun! OMG Gonna... They still make those things. I hated those when my kids had them. I have an instant solution for you... TRASH CAN or better yet, a dumpster. Maybe you can mail it to the friend that is overtaking the party planning for Cheermom! When your 10 year old can't find it, help them look for it. Ask the question, "when did you last see it?" Get rid of the thing! The batteries never die :8o: Oh yeah.... No smoking allowed (this keeps it smoking related so it's ok :p ) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/1/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 490 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 9,808 Amount Saved: $1715 Life Gained: Days: 43 Hrs: 5 Mins: 17 Seconds: 25
