TextNicotine gum and dentures just dont go together so you end up trying to chew the darn stuff without the dentures and then your gums start aching,I know the instructions say to chew it for 30 minutes but was wondering what happens if you just swallow the stuff after chewing it for just a few minutes?nothing?.And no i dont want to use the patch.

Nicotine gum doesn't get along very well with a lot of dental work, however, some brands can work better than others.
I wouldn't just swallow the gum -- chewing the gum is how the nicotine is released into your system. Simply swallowing it, isn't going to allow that to happen, and also may cause some problems in your stomach or intestinal tract.
I understand you don't want to use the patch, but have you considered using lozenges? They shouldn't be a problem with your dentures, yet have similiar a similiar success rate to the gum.
Hope this helps,
