Hi Phil!! On Monday I had to have a pH probe put in to monitor the acid in my tummy. I was put under this anesthia that erases the memory of having the scope / procedure put it. Anyhow, I was still recovering when Hubby took me home, we stopped off at the grocery store. I walked around like I had no freaking clue on how to shop. All I know is I wanted a sub / hoagie for lunch. It took me an hour to buy the fixings I needed for my hoagie. After we got home, I made a pot of chili for dinner, and fixed my hoagie. I swear I do not remember buying everything else in between! LOL!!! He said I stopped in front of the mexican food, and began rattling off ingredients to make cheeros and that is what I wanted. Then I wondered off to search for something else. He said I needed a leash! *insert wide eyes here* =) My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/21/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 69 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,039 Amount Saved: $207 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 2 Mins: 35 Seconds: 40

Hey Phil, didn't we just get done chatting about this online? lol. I fully agree. Kaitilina and I and some others have laughed so darn hard it felt great (hurt cause we haven't had that much oxygen enter our lungs in a while). She and I rolled from laughing. She had even bumped a thread of mine and I re-read it and I had tears of laughter from reading what I had written 6 days into my quit. Sorry, Lady, didn't mean to scare you with the bump. Newbies, laugh often. It is the best medicine (hey and even free) you could give yourself. Oldies, dont forget to laugh. That's why old nic comes around when we are down. I haven't been this positive since I quit. The last few weeks I honestly loved life and loved my quit!!! Oh, they're playing our song, FAFreaks! Feel free to chime in anytime; you know who you are! Some days the laughing-thing is all that kept me quit. I frequently went hunting (still do) for something funny going on here. Cold Turkeys laugh alot. (Especially when we look in the mirror.) It's a tough job but somebody's gotta do it. mc My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/31/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 454 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,817 Amount Saved: $1816 Life Gained: Days: 44 Hrs: 5 Mins: 16 Seconds: 18

Most definately Phil! When I quit the Smobers (our group) was a party group. We laughed, cried, sang, had adventures, partied and celebrated. A good number of us survived the quit. Laughter is good medicine! Keep doing what you are doing because you add a great deal to the quit family! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/1/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 515 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 10,309 Amount Saved: $1802.5 Life Gained: Days: 45 Hrs: 10 Mins: 14 Seconds: 21

I went to a local night club last night but the bouncer on the door wouldn't let me in because I wasn't wearing a tie! I went back to my car and all I could find was a jump lead so I wrapped round my neck and went back to the club. The bouncer was a little hesitant but finally he said "OK, you can come in but don't start anything"!! Penitent, smiling for the 925th day in succession! :)
