Congratulations Super,
That was my downfall in the past and I've also been able to be victorious. Just be very careful the next time too. You have to get a few smoke free cocktails under your belt and say over and over in your head before the evening starts that no matter what, you will NOT SMOKE!!!!
I'm soooo proud of you!!!

Absolutely Fantastic. Not that you go drunk so much, but that you made it through another birthday (yea!), that you were able to celebrate with your friends (yea!) (i.e. only minimally disrupt of a portion of your life for the quit), that you maintained your quit (yea!)and that you are mature in committing to this quit for a lifetime. Hits on all points!

This is going to be your year to succeed. The way you are headed, by this time next year, smoking won't even be a thought that crosses your mind while you enjoy your special day.

Hi Everyone
Im pretty proud of myself today. It was my birthday on the weekend ( a very young 38 !!! )and i had family and friends round for a bbq and a couple of drinks ( which turned into quite a few )BUT I DIDNT HAVE A CIGARETTE !!!!!
This is my 3rd quit in recent times and previous failures were due to alcohol consumption so to get through this hurdle was great for me.
By no means am i saying that i am safe because i wouldnt recommend drinking to anyone who is quitting but personally to know that i can still have a beer means im gaining control of my life.
For me quitting is the beginning of a new life really.I have put a kilo or 2 on since quitting but in the new year i will address that as well.Quitting for me is another chance at a healthier and happier life
