Mercy: Anna wrote my story exactly. I had been developing a pretty bad smoker's cough/hack to the point of gagging and gasping. (Like you, Anna, I always had an excuse: oh, I swallowed the wrong way, etc. Yeah, right!). Anyway, literally from almost the first day I quit, I have NOT had a cough of any kind, let alone the awful ones I had been seeing on a regular basis.
Like the others here, I had read some threads about this nasty cough some get and I couldn't be more thrilled that I seem to have escaped all that.
So, I say "Congratulations" -- and don't worry a whit about it any more!
