"If you are going through Hell just keep going."

Just dropping by and offering a hand to any that might want support.
I know that going through the first few days is a lot. There are all kinds of things that can and do happen to the smoker who quits. Hang on, keep reading here, keep looking to your focus of being quit. It really does get better. The physical stuff will subside, the visits to the doctor will decrease (they did for me cause I tend to panic and would call at a moments notice of anything that seemed ...wrong). The panic, urges and deep deep physical, emotional and cognitive actions that can happen will lighten over time.
I know that there are all kinds of thoughts, urges and the craves can be pretty gruesome; however, I have a friend from around here, her name is Rusty and she says, "Simply do not light that next cigarette.". Nothing can be simpler and it is a huge focus to maintain as one goes through hell, heck, blah and all the other weeks.
No matter what, I have drawn whatever measure of success from this quit by maintaining that simple idea of never lighting the next and by knowing that I could get through hell, all I had to do was keep on going.
Focus, determination and just plain gutsy attitude will help anyone who is sitting on the fence, waffling and even thinking of caving in. Push the addict down, gather your strength and move right along into a life of freedom. For me there is nothing finer.
So, thanks for reading. Stay with your determination. Quitting is a journey and the only destination is freedom and extended life. (Check your quit meter, there is added life with every cigarette you do not light.
Here's wishing you all a wonderful smoke free day and a fantastic new smoke free life.
Ciao
Phillip
