I can hardly believe that I am THIS close to my one year anniversary. I look at my "Quit Meter" and am amazed at those numbers.
I want to converse to everyone thinking about quitting, or those who are in there first few days or even hours - You CAN quit, you really can. I was a VERY heavy smoker for 33 years and thought there was no way I could quit, but once I was fully ready, I took the plunge and am so happy I did.
I have this sense of freedom now because I don't have cigarettes running my life. I can go to a theater now and watch a movie without leaving 4 or 5 times to smoke. I can sit anywhere I want at a restaurant. I can sit in my office and stare out at my co-workers shivering in the cold as they light up. My house and clothes smell clean and fresh. My car windows stay clean.....Yeah, freedom is a great thing!
I wish all those struggling with their quit the very best of luck. You can do it!
