Congratulations Moqueen...that's fantastic. The benefit's definately outway the "need" to smoke.
Also, great job getting back into the gym. I've been trying to make nice nice with my treadmill...I've ignored it so long....it doesn't want to even look at me....I will keep you posted.

After 11 months of not going to the gym, I returned as a Non Smoker.
Wow! I was not even out of breath! Even the trainer told me that I did very well for someone that had not exercized for almost a year. She asked me if I had been going to another gym!
I smiled and said, No. Actually, It's because I QUIT SMOKING!!
This really opened my eyes and makes me grateful for quitting.

Of course there are many other benefits...like I don't smell of nasty smoke anymore, I am protecting my health, I am saving money, etc.
But this was one that I had not thought of and it was a pleasant surprise.
Have a great smoke free day to all :)

I have been a regular at the gym. On Sunday I was feeling very sad (life stuff)....Instead of craving a smoke...I started to crave a workout! (Now.......that's something new for me!) Congrats on your new health Mo.

Good for you! I am thinking of going back to my old gym (I quit two years ago). I used to run but could never do really well for obvious reasons. I want to start running again and see how well I do as a non-smoker. I'm sure I will be amazed. :)
