Hey Everybody --
How about if we focused attention off our sorry selves for one minute and gave a huge and well-deserved cheer to the professionals who keep this site running? These are the people who welcome, respond, edit (and yeah, they've edited me and my good buddy Dunedude -- they've even silenced [erased] me on occasion!) -- but they're also the ones to welcome every single newcomer when you and I are too stressed, precoccupied, busy, or whatever, to do it; they're the ones who ask every single person about rewards and follow-up; they're the ones who show up and post when we don't.
While we hug and kiss one another and congratulate one another on our great accomplishments, let's take a minute (a really long one) and acknowledge, thank, and greet, our professional staff and thank them, each one, by name.
(I know the ones I know, but I don't know that I know them all, and I can't figure out how to minimize this to go into other threads and make sure I get every name, so I have to rely on the collective experience of the group here.)
I'll start --
Josie, Melanie -- you rock. Thanks for being here for us!! Thanks for welcoming the stranger when we're too stressed or preoccupied to. Thanks for enouraging rewards when we're too focused on ourselves to think too much about others. Thanks for reading everything we post and making sure that our posts are apporpriate to the larger group.
Merry Christmas, however you observe it. I honor and appreciate the other staff members, even if my wilted brain can't bring their names to the forefront right now. I know everyone else will join me in thanking you and wishing you a glorious holiday season!
