Well, I did it...I have the 14mg patch on today. So far, it feels no different. Today is a really busy day at work, so I don't anticipate any issues, then I have a Christmas Program tonight, so I will be distracted....distracted....distracted... ;) This is the longest I've ever made it with the patches!!!! I've never gotten to the point where I could actually "step down"....woohooooooo!!!!
Stay tough everyone. Quitting smoking and staying quit is the best gift we can all give ourselves this holiday season.

Thanks everyone for your support.
Yes Windy....they are smaller...I was sooooo excited....I didn't feel like I'd had major surgery and had a huge dressing on covering the wound!! Although I'm a little bigger now than when I first quit...so finding a spot to put the patch hasn't been a problem..
Dunedad, Wow...too much of a hassle for you to put the patch on...I think that's great. I haven't forgotten yet to put a patch on...I'm hoping that comes soon (or maybe not, I don't want to freak out). But yesterday went by without a hitch, so I'm very pleased.
It's funny, I can still feel the "fear" of giving up this addiction. The apprehension of the unknown..."how will I react to the 14mg versus the 21mg". We really don't understand what a hold this addiction has on us until we are truley quitting and going through the process of getting rid of the smoking habit and the physical addiction to the nicoteen.
Step by step...day by day, we can do this.

Right on Kait!!!! for me it was just a hint of "hey wait a minute...something is missing here,I just can't put my finger on it"...It'll 'bout the same when you drop down to 7 mg. except you might start to get apprehensive that "the day" is coming soon. Just don't get far ahead of yourself....Myself, lately I forgot to put patch on a couple days here and there....Tuesday I forgot again...so I said screw it. It really became more of a hassle than what it was worth.....Think about that one a minute......Before we quit NOTHING was too much of a hassle to get nicotine into the system. I am glad you are seeing stepping down is not that noticable.---duneK
