is anyone actually saving their cigarette money?

Hi, My money goes for my home. Actually my new home was my motivation for quitting. I'm divorced and was living on my sisters couch for 3 years. I realized that if I took the money I spent on cigarettes and added it to my alimony, I could afford to buy the new double wide mobile home that I wanted. I moved into my new home on August 19 of this year! Added bonus... It is smoke-free and smells great. About four years ago when I made my first attempt at quitting, my husband put his down also. So I would take that money and set it aside. Although, I have smoked and quit a lot during this time, I continued to save it. When I quit my job I wasn't able to it any loneger. But my husband recently took a part-time postion and now I am doing it again. You will be amazed at what you can buy with that money!!! Every payday I would deduct that amount and stick it away in my check book and just watched it grow :). We bought a new lawn mower, new garage doors and openers, a snow blower, had the house painted, took a couple trips. It is so worth it!! When you can make a purchase with the money that would have gone up in "smoke" you feel so good. Try it, you will be so glad that you did. Every week I put my cig money in an envelope. I'm planning on taking my husband and myself on a trip to Ireland with it. I just spend it on stuff... if i want it - i'll get it. hell i earned it ! Lets see, I spend my savings on... house re-decorating, treats for my wife, better quality food, the pets, A new car, tools, trips away .. the list goes on. Plus i'm saving $60 a month on my life insurance classed as a non-smoker. Smokers truely are the suckers here, they might as well roll up their money & smoke it away!. If both of you give up you will save an absolute fortune ! But to me the most noticable thing as a non-smoker is the life changing decisions i've made that not only effect me & my wife but other members of my family also. ka ching !
