Deli, like you, I had one of these experiences last night too. I was out with my bf and one of our friends (who both smoke) and started to want to smoke and couldn't leave because I didn't drive and was feeling a bit miserable... for about 5 minutes. That's what I love about these triggers now is that they really don't last that long. After about 5 minutes, I had forgotten all about my desire to smoke and continued to have a wonderful night. Over a year ago, that would have devestated my entire night and I would NOT have been fun to be around! So glad I can enjoy my smoke free life now and if a trigger shows up, so what? It's gone before I know it! :) Glad you made it through yours too. Having somebody else help you out and give you support is a GREAT way to get through triggers! :)
Windy, what have you done to get through your triggers? Share with us how you have done it. Do you now talk on the phone in a different part of the house or perhaps do something while you're on the phone? Or playing cards, what distraction techniques have you used? I'm curious to know! :)
Anyone else?
