Dear Monica,
My thoughts are with you across the Atlantic at this worst of all times.
I know how awful it is to see your dad, who always seemed so big and strong, weakened beyond belief and shrunk to a shadow - that is part of the horror of cancer.
If you can take anything positive from this, please take pride in your quit, for yourself, for your family and most of all for your dad - that he can take some comfort that you will be spared his fate.
I'm wishing for a peaceful end for your Dad.
Hang tight lady, you are doing brilliantly.
I hope that, in spite of everything that is happening, you are still remembering to reward yourself for your milestones. It is important and you, of all people, do deserve to be rewarded at this difficult time.
