DAY 7 :)

for 18 år siden 0 7 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
I have just completed day 7 and I am elated. Next stop is week two. This website, stopsmokingcenter.net and whyquit have been godsends. I know that I am early in my quit, but I can see a big blue sky ahead (albeit far ahead). If you are just quitting, take it 5 minutes, one hour, half day, full day at a time. With the passage of time, each day is easier than the last. I have subscribed whole heartedly to the educated cold turkey approach and it by far feels as though it is working the best. With the past several attempts to quit I have used the patch, the gum, daily smoking reduction/transition and nothing worked. I will attribute my will to being the culprit in each of my previous failures. I am here to say that if you feel that you can handle three pure days of hell and just stop cold turkey than just go CT. In the past I found that using NRT's just prolonged the inevitable withdrawal that you will face when quiting the NRT's. I have found that while smoking is a problem, the real problem is nicotine and the other 4000 chemicals found in cigarettes. In effect it is the addiction that you have to break. Break the addiction and you break the habit. Anyway, I hope all of you are feeling equaly empowered by your freedom from smoking. Reading and posting in this forum is probably one of the best anti-smoking aids. What a great feeling for you, and I'm so happy for you and your right....the future looks very bright for you, and it's easier to see the blue sky without the bubble of smoke surrounding you. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 11/7/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 23 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 525 Amount Saved: $126.5 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 2 Mins: 34 Seconds: 11

Congratulations on day 7 of your quit! All the power to you going cold turkey :) I, as other's have or are using NRT's in order to be smoke free. Speaking for myself it has helped me immensely and I am grateful that such products are out there for me. Stay strong as you sound like a very positive individual with much conviction! N.O.P.E. ! Hiya Ktown, Congratulations on a big 7 days! You should feel very proud of yourself and your positive attitude! It will go a long way to help you in your quit! I agree with you, the empowerment is a wonderful feeling! And the SSC is probably one of the best smoking cessation aids I've ever found! Reward yourself well! Ken, Congrats on your 1 week. It feels amazing doesn't it? The weeks just fly by. Before you know it you will be at a month. Keep the positive attitude you have and you will do great. Your mind is stronger then the addiction. Once we figure that out we are home free.
