Hi all, We are sooo accustomed to the fast pace of our lives. When we quit smoking we DO HAVE to give it up for a time. We do need to pamper ourselves, think about ourselves (that is unusual also, huh?) It is not a selfish thing when we are quitting smoking...it is almost a MUST. Don't read books...TRY IT! Don't go for walks (can't spare the time) TRY IT; don't ride a bike, TRY IT! Don't have any aromatherapy for a nice hot bath; GO GET SOME! haven't ever had a massage, TRY IT! Quitting smoking is a LIFE CHANGING EVENT...so change your life. Try some new activities and passtimes. Above all, be good to yourself during this period of your life. We will get back into the fast lane soon enough. Lazing around this evening sending you my best. [i]quitting smoking is serious business, get serious about staying quit![/i ex-slave My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/20/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 136 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,675 Amount Saved: $510 Life Gained: Days: 18 Hrs: 12 Mins: 25 Seconds: 23

HI jnine, Glad that the cravings are not bothering you. Lack of energy is a common nicotine withdrawal symptom. I had a difficult time concentrating on things like, cleaning the house! I would spend time on the internet, read, sleep...you do what you need to do to stay quit. You are doing great. Jnine, yes, I know exactly what you are going through. I too have been very lazy! I am watching more tv now than I ever have! But, now that I have beat my first month (Woo Hoo!) it is getting better. There is light at the end of the tunnel! I see it! I am still not as energetic around the house as I used to be. But, I am slowly getting things done. Although last night I wanted a "lazy night" and I took it without the guilt. Just take one day at a time. It will get better. For now, rent a movie, read a book, take a bath or a nap and enjoy your laziness, smoke-free. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 32 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 323 Amount Saved: $272 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 14 Mins: 30 Seconds: 41

This is pretty common! I am there too. Getting some pretty anxious looks from my hubby - (Ah honey - can I have the remote for a little bit?)
