I, like, you avoid traffic as much as possible. I, like you, am able to. I rely more on others driving.
That is how I manage. But well, I'd rather rely on me, instead. I don't really have fear of bridges, per se, but I cross one everday, and I know I am more tense when I do..nothing above the bridge like you speak of. I think what makes me tense, is it is only two lanes, and unlike a two lane road, there really IS no where to go..except into the oncoming traffic, OR the bridge.
Besides, being educated has really nothing to do with panic, or phobias. Being educated, would be to me, to know when I needed help.
I'm not saying you do, but the fact that you're here posting, leads me to believe that it bothers you.
I grew up and learned to drive in a rural town, no freeways...that is part of it...the other part, is being frightened by a drunken Father driving once in some steep hills in Calif, when I was maybe 5 yrs old and being TERRIFIED by that experience.
Anyway, welcome!
