Talk with her ufan. She may not have as positive attitude as you do with the quit. I have quit several times....like.... lots and lots of times. A few good quits stuck out in my head...and they were the ones that I was very positive about. This quit is it for me. I have been the most positive.....and actually excited in a weird kindof way. The less she "thinks" about it the less the craves are. She has to think...."I get to quit"....... not...."I got to quit." Have her check out the website whyquit.com Remember also.... you both deserve a round of applause for 10 days quit. You are both in the hard part right now and it gets lots easier with time. Go thru the porgram here, to the left, or just have her spend some time on this site, reading, it has always helped others! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 44 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,115 Amount Saved: $464.2 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 9 Mins: 16 Seconds: 59

Ufan, Unfortunately, this is pretty common... men USUALLY (not always) have an easier time quitting than women. That's not to say, however, that it's hard for every woman, but your wife is definitely NOT alone! Many of us struggle with the quit. The biggest thing is to remember to reward yourselves for quitting. This goes for both of you... and since you quit together, you can reward each other for your amazing accomplishments! Rewards are important and help us feel better about ourselves, our accomplishments and our quits and CAN take away some of the cravings. So don't forget to reward yourselves often for quitting! Crave the Quit! ufan, How about a crave basket? Take the time to prepare a basket with lots of coping mechanisms. When the crave hits you can choose from the basket. Also use those relaxation techniques to take off that extra edge. Keeping busy with hobbies and chores will push those craves to the curb as well :) Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.

If you believe in God, pray together. Get her busy doing something. Take a shower together. Have sex. :p Take her to the movies. Go grocery shopping. Go to the gym together. *** This time will pass. You can both get through this period of the quit. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other. The destination is worth it. Just make sure you are not staring down at the ground the whole time. You want to be able to see the destination when you get there ... so look up! ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/12/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 341 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 10,244 Amount Saved: $1364 Life Gained: Days: 28 Hrs: 17 Mins: 27 Seconds: 27

My wife and I have both quit using chantix, its been 10 days for me and 9 days for her. I'm having just a few cravings while she is having a lot of them. What can I do to help her through the rough times so she doesn't start smoking again?
