Hey Bobbi,
What you're going through is normal. It's so weird, isn't it? But I've seen a lot of post where people have felt the same way you are right now and I went through it myself at around Day 8, 9, 10 and maybe 11. Somewhere in there, that "detached" feeling goes away. Don't worry about that, okay?
A lot of that feeling of being detached, not yourself at all, withdrawn, and so quiet is because you're body is still healing from smoking. You've been fighting physically, mentally, and emotionally for 9 days now and you're exhausted in every way. I believe part of it too, at least it was in my case, is that need to shelter yourself from any kind of temptation...as if you're protecting your Quit. Plus, becoming a Non Smoker is a HUGE lifestyle change and you're adjusting to it little by little.
Please don't worry about how you're feeling right now. I hope this post helps you. So many of us have gone through the same feelings. It's so strange but it will pass. Meanwhile, allow yourself to rest and heal. Pamper youself too.
Stay Strong,
Tutti
