Hello Everyone,
I haven't had any anxiety attacks for the past two weeks or so. It's been very relaxing! I usually get them 2-3 times a week pretty mild but know what they are so can easily handle them. Symptoms are usually chest pain and difficulty breathing.
Last night around 4am I experienced what I think was an attack but I'm not sure. My friend was upstairs (college dorm) with me, just watching a movie, and I started feeling like I couldn't breathe so I asked him to leave. Right after he left I was gasping for air. Literally wheezing. I thought I was going to have to go to the hospital but knowing the whole anxiety thing prayed it was that. I've had a bad flu for the past week, could that enhance an attack? Any ideas? I've had attacks where I feel that I can't breathe but this I was sitting in bed grasping for air. Lasted about an hour. Definitely the scariest experience of my life. Oh yeah, shaking too.
I would love to hear if you've had an experience with this or if you think this is just anxiety. Knowing it's anxiety will kind of settle my mind. I'm really scared it'll happen again though. Any way of preventing such a massive attack?
Thank you so much in advance,
Nina
