If you're not smoking, then you're not wrong here. What you went through is traumatic and extremely hard to deal with... whether you smoke or not. If you have to use a couple more pieces of nic gum to get through, then do that. BUT, really watch your intake on those as well. When I say "a couple," I mean one or two extra. Otherwise, you'll get into a situation where your nicotine level is so high that coming off the nic will be REALLY hard.
I don't envy you during this time. This must be rough. I understand your pain and hope that everything goes alright. It sounds like you've made the rational decision that whatever you do, you will not smoke. THat's what it takes to make it. Life will crap all over you at times... whether you smoke or not. Dealing with life on life's terms is what makes us truly free from this addiction. You're almost there. Don't give up!
