I had a smoking dream last night! First one in probably 6 months. I know what caused it... last night, I told a co-worker (who smokes) that I wanted a cigarette. He said, very casually, "you don't smoke." I said, "I know." And that was it. End of discussion. End of the craving too. I just had to say it, acknowledge it, and then it was gone. I also wanted to see if my co-worker would offer me one (not that I would smoke it if he had), but he didn't. Now I know that I can trust him to not give me one if I ever tell him that I want to smoke. That's a good thing to know about a person, in my opinion.
So then, last night, I had a dream that he DID give one to me, and that I smoked 2 puffs of it and it was the nastiest thing I'd ever tasted, and threw it out coughing and dry heaving, and my co-worker said "that's a waste of a cigarette!" And that was it. Guess my sub-conscious just needed to deal with that situation. I don't know. Anyway, just thought I'd share.
Crave the Quit!
