The best things about quitting. Hmmm, let's see.
1) I don't worry all the time anymore about getting lung cancer. That went through my mind every time I lit a cigarette. And that was 25-30 times a day!!!!
2) I don't smell like smoke anymore and I don't have to saturate my coats in febreeze every day either!
3) I have met some wonderful friends here at SSC, and if I hadn't quit, I probably wouldn't be here!
4) When I'm talking on the phone to my sister, I don't have to "hide" the fact that I'm smoking. She could always "hear" me over the phone.
5) The pride I feel in myself. My family are proud of me and I love to hear them say so. Even though they complain that I'm still moody sometimes. And I say to them, "suck it up, princesses!!!!" I'm happier every day!
Sometimes this journey can be tough, but there's soooo much satisfaction in kicking Ol' Nick to the curb.
Cheers, Jan
