Just feel like a smoke

Tutti, What great insight you have! I think I'll try laughing in the face of ol Nic myself- might even ask him "Is that the best you got?" I can picture Tom Hanks in that movie- what a hoot! Have a great day! Jersy, Have you ever seen that movie called, "The Money Pit" with Tom Hanks? ha ha In that movie, you never knew what was coming next. Either the stairs collapsed, a wall cracked, or their bath tub fell through the floor. It was always something. When the bath tub fell through the second story floor, Tom Hanks just stood over this big ass hole and laughed hysterically and uncontrollably. LOL That's what I feel like each week. Old Nic will throw something else, a new trick in his nasty old bag, and hit me right in the head. It's gotten to the point that I just laugh hysterically now. I'm not even looking for that day when it's a "done deal" and "all over with." I'm now finding it really interesting to see what that old fart, Nic, will throw at me next. ha ha ha ha ha ha Who knows what'll be next, sweetie. We're all different except for one thing, WE ALL DO GET STRONGER. It may be in our own time but, WE ALL DO get stronger and healthier with each passing day. Cling to that thought, okay? Thanks all of you for your support and understanding. It means alot. I will not smoke, I will not give up. That is what I tell myself and I look forward to saying I am another day free of smoke. I think you are feeling like you should be over it by now, that it should be a done deal. Unfortunately, that's not how addiction works for most people. They say that a habit can be broken in 21 days. Unfortunately we are addicts and it takes a little longer. The good news is that each day that you don't smoke you grow stronger and healthier. Hey Jersy - I still get those but as soon as they come I remind myself I'm a non smoker and they hit the road! Much of it is likely down to trigger situations, so do your best to get pre-occupied and you'll do just fine! Hi Jersy I quit the same day that you did. I am going through the same thing. People come to the house and they smoke, I go to their houses they smoke, it doesn't bother me in the least, sometimes I don't even think about it, but once in a while I just want one, I can be here alone, no pressure, no triggers, just want one. I know that if I smoke just one, that i"ll have to start all over, keep focused and we can beat this dragon. Jersy, Could it be boredom? Smoking took up a lot of our time. Did you need a break from something you were doing? Whatever the cause, be proud of yourself for continuing to persevere. A reward is definitely in order for three weeks smoke free! Congratulations! Danielle ______________________ The SSC Support Team

Hello all its 21 days for me today and I feel great except once and a while this week I just felt like having a smoke. I was not fighting any urge or going through any withdrawl I just felt like having a smoke and that was that. Nothing triggered it either. I think it is weird. I could have went anytime and bought some or even got one from a co-worker but I didn't. It is strange to feel like that, I think anyway. Well I wanted to know if anyone else was going through that and if so how long will that weird and stupid feeling last? Anyone who has advice or insight on this please let me know. Take care Jersy P.S. It seem like each new week I approach, I seem to experience something different.
