Jan, Where are you? I haven't been around at all lately but I did see your post just now. I had to log in and reply to you. You smoked because you are an addict. WE are all addicts. That is why quitting is so hard. That junkie within all of us just keeps at us until we give in. You have to refuse to smoke no matter what comes your way. Five minutes at a time. Each day you get through makes you that much stronger for the next. You know exactly what to do as you have already proven here. You have provided so much support to others. Lean on those around you to get you through the tough times. There is always someone around willing to take your hand and hold on with you when you need it, but you have to be willing to reach out for the help. We have all quit many, many times. Most do not just put down the smokes and walk away. Get back up on this quit wagon. Hang on tight and refuse to let go regardless of what comes your way. You CAN do it. It really is worth it and you will not feel this way forever. I promise. Jan, Sweetie, I'm so sorry to hear old nic got you into a dark corner. I'm so glad you're back in the light with us. You've gained a very valuable lesson and now you can use this experience as a tool in your final quit. You are a winner because you are a quitter. I'm so proud of you and all the rest of us, who don't ever quit on quitting. Jan, keep coming. You have helped me, you and I quit around the same time, you were a bit ahead of me. You have 100 plus days behind you of not smoking, coping and doing battle with the daily demons. This time you lost a skirmish, not the war. Jan you remind us all that passing 100 days is a milestone but not the finish line. A relapse can happen any time to any one. Get on your horse and ride, it is not over. Glad you are coming back, this place wouldn't be same without you. Remember one thing my friend no one can take those 100+ days. You have done it and you will again. This addiction is so awful, but we will beat it, I know we will. So dust yourself off and beging the quit, we are waiting for you :) Sparky My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/30/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 10 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 104 Amount Saved: $30 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 9 Mins: 44 Seconds: 45
