Rhondababy,
Please consult your doctor or pharmacist before changing your dose. Your body needs time to adjust everytime you step up or down. Switching back and forth can bring out those side effects.
Also keep in mind that some quitters do experience an adjustment period of a few days when stepping down from any aid. It is temporary and it does pass.
With regards to your slip and you having bought a pack, I'm concerned you're headed down a slippery slope. We strongly suggest you get rid of those cigarettes as soon as possible. Take the time to learn from your slip and keep going. What could you have done differently to keep from smoking?
Smoking to make your mood swings go away is not the answer. They are quite common among quitters and they will pass. Pick up a reward instead! You deserve one for all the hard work you're puttin into your quit!
Keep close and keep us posted.
Danielle

I know you are right why did I buy that pack damit!!! my mood is so bad i keep having problems with this computer I feel like throwing this lap top out the door !! see I told you I am moody lol now what do I do with the dreaming and weight gain see the list goes on and on.
Hang in there Rhonda. You can do this - but first you need to get rid of that pack. Don't tempt yourself.
My advice to you would be to try to channel that anger you are feeling away from other people and towards this addiction that has you trapped. Search for the post that lists the ingredients in cigarettes - you'll be shocked at what the tobacco companies put in there! There are a lot of good posts here about addiction and the power of a positive attitude in quitting. Read, read, and read some more and post too. It is soooo helpful.
If what you need is a laugh, there are some funny posts too, laughter makes you feel better and may counteract some of the negative feelings you are having.
Remember, a slip can be a learning experience if you figure out what went wrong and how to deal with it differently next time. I think today's quote was something to that effect.
You can do this and there is help here. Let us know how you are doing.
