The 100 days crave!

for 18 år siden 0 208 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
The cravings really suck. I'm doing pretty good but had a major smoking dream last night. In the dream I was starting again in this quit.. wierd. I found an old pack of cigs in my old jeep the other day and I think that is what triggered the dream. I worry about smoking again, but I don't think I will this time. The cravings will pass.. I just keep telling myself. The weight will come off, I keep starving myself ;-). I have to say at 126 days, I feel pretty good. I do miss smoking, probably always will, but I am getting to old for that crap. At 42, I feel like I'm playing russian rullet if I smoke. I know I'm not supposed to say that I miss it, but there are things that I miss. There are also things that I do not. Like being all stinky, like searching for a lighter on the floor of my car while driving 70 miles per hour down the freeway, last but not least, how I felt the fist few weeks after quitting. Remembering those first few weeks of the quit, the yukkie depression, that enough for me. Remember all of that and it will get you through your craving smoke free. Hang in there, this will pass too. Sunflower, it will pass. It may take a few days, but it will pass. Cling to that thought and just hold on. Many quitters experience craves around this time and they often equal or surpass those of the first couple of weeks. Have you given yourself a reward yet? If not, you should because you've certainly earned it. Keep up the good quit, Sunflower. :) Shevie My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/23/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 381 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 7,622 Amount Saved: $1447.8 Life Gained: Days: 71 Hrs: 1 Mins: 3 Seconds: 48

Funny - RD Man is in the same boat - I think it's a depression after you hit 100 days. You are so focused on getting to 100 days and then it's here and gone and you still can't smoke..... depression.... We need to have a goal - another milestone that we shoot for after the 100 day beach milestone. The VIP is a year out - too far - we need something at 6 months. I know I hit 100 days and I am already psyching myself for the 6 calendar month mark so i don't feel let down after 100 days. Am I making any sense? I hope I am - please don't lose your quit - you'll get through this. I was lucky, I never suffered with the "100 day crave" (cold turkey here also) but with 106 days experience you are well-equipped to deal with it and I am sure that you will. Good Luck Penitent d751
