I had a dream.

These dreams give me the heebie jeebies ! I still have them and hate them. Although they are not as frequent they still occur. It is such an awful feeling to think you have thrown away your quit for one cigarette. Genevieve, Sounds like this dream although horrible may have helped solidify your quit for one more day. Thanks for sharing. Danielle _____________________ The SSC Support Team

Oh Gen, it must be in the air. I had one last night too. And I was horrified. I have tried quitting so many times and thought I blew it again . Thank goodness it was only a dream. On with the quit. I was sitting in a cafe bar I regularly go to - we meet to do the crossword - it was busy with lots of young mothers and little children. The television was on (they don't have one!) and some child was playing with the remote so the channel kept changing. This was irritating the life out of me. My elderly friend - who smokes 10 cigarettes a week and has made a BIG deal about me stopping because she says she should - is with me. She lights up with some difficulty because the lighter is broken and I help her. Next thing I am leaning over to extinguish MY cigarette. The smoke is in my nostrils and stinging my eyes. My hair brushes across my face and it smells of smoke. There is ash all over the table. I feel sick. My throat is stinging. I sit back up, away from the ashtray and I am aware of one young mother behind me complaining to her friend about people smoking and I get angry and defensive and think "Well, they've come in to a smoking place - it's their fault". Then I remember. The quit meter! What to do? I feel sick again at the thought. I can't just carry on as if nothing has happened. My whole 55 days down the Swannee and for one stinky, horrible cigarette. I am in tears with disappointment and feel generally wretched. Then I wake up! Oh. Thank God. It was a dream. Gen :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/28/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 55 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 880 Amount Saved: 385.00 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 7 Mins: 9 Seconds: 55
