I WISH that would happen where I work!!! Everytime somebody would ask me if I smoked, and I said that I quit 2 years ago, they'd treat me like there was something wrong with me! More people smoke at my work than not. It's a sad reality here in a medium Midwestern town where smoking is more commonplace than in large cities on the coasts where smoking is socially unacceptable. It's a shame that that's the way it is here, but like so many other things, we in the midwest seem to be behind the times... at least that's true where I live.
Another thing I really hate about where I work is that if you're a smoker, they don't have a problem with you taking semi-frequent smoke breaks... but heaven forbid a non-smoker take a break! It's like they're thinking, "what on earth do they need breaks for?????" Sometimes, it'd be nice to be able to take a short 5 minute break just to be able to sit down for a sec without having to clock out to do it, but if non-smokers want to take short 5 minute breaks, they have to clock out... but smokers don't have to clock out to smoke! It's ridiculous!!! Anyway, sorry, didn't mean to start a rant or anything... I guess I just wish my work was more like yours!
Crave the Quit!
