why am i soooo tired?

for 17 år siden 0 579 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Princess, I felt tired for a long time. Even though the nicotene leaves your system fairly quickly, your body is undergoing an intense period of recovery. I did get my energy levels back, but it took quite a few weeks. You are at a classic BLAH stage in the quit...and Yes, the 120 day thing does seem to be a turning point. Just keep plodding along and make yourself as comfortable as you can. Hi Princess- I know I was also sooooo tired and just felt like I had absolutely no energy. I slept alot (I work from home and pretty much make my own schedule) so I took little catnaps all the time for the first 100 days or so. Just take it easy, and drink lots of water. I do mall walking and that seemed to help me get the energy moving through and it did give me more get-up and go:) Just rest and sleep when you can and need to. BTW my BP is now normal w/out the meds, thanks to stopping the nicotine and taking fish oil daily (and my doc recommends fish oil for all -w/out warnings :) Healer My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 456 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 15,960 Amount Saved: $2,120.40 Life Gained: Days: 60 Hrs: 8 Mins: 18 Seconds: 27

thanks to all of you for your support. Danielle, im already a member of your panic support program. no i havent gone back to smoking and i really cant see myself ever being a smoker ever again. ive had my wakeup call and i definatly dont want to go back thru this again. and yes i am smilimg because i am a non smoker. im just having a problem with being so tired. hopeing in time it will get better. i am on meds for blood pressure, panic and im a diabetic but i cant see where these would cause me to be tired since ive been taking them for a long time. i guess im just getting old. lol " arent we all". hanging in there and taking it one day at a time. Princess ny real Princess!!! If your Royal Highness has a problem with her knees she must see the Royal Physician !! Seriously cant see that not smoking would affect your knees mate although it has along the way affected most other bits of me I must admit! One piece of serious advice BIG SMILE you are a non smoker . Dont look back look foward. You cant smoke anyway because its banned on the boat! Princess, I'm not too sure about your knees, you'll have to keep checking with your doctor on that one but I do know that individuals with panic commonly experience a TEMPORARY jump in the anxiety levels. Your increased anxiety could also be why you are still tired. Panic disorder takes a lot of you so keep being gentle with yourself. Even though it doesn't feel like it right now this is one of the best things you can do to help with your anxiety in the long run. Hang in there and if you need help with panic disorder, we have a sister site with a CBT program and active board that may be of help to you: www.paniccenter.net Danielle ______________________ The SSC Support Team

Princess, unfortunately quitting smoking doesn't remove all of our health woes. If you feel like you are "dying", if your panic is getting worse, if your knees are "killing" you, those are things that your quit didn't cause. But your thinking that could tempt you back into smoking, with the assumption that all of these symptoms would go away. Please see your doctor again or pick a new one. What has your Doctor said about you being so tired? Are you on any other medications that could be causing you to feel this way? Hope you get to feeling better soon. :( My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/28/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 0 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 0 Amount Saved: $0.00 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 2 Mins: 11 Seconds: 0

Hey Princess, Could be the smoking was hiding other problems. Keep checking with your Doc. Some of the older quitters say it gets better after 120 days ir so, when you think of it, thats only 4 months and most of us smoked more than 30 years! So just give the ole Bod some time to rejuvenate! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 84 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,100 Amount Saved: $886.20 Life Gained: Days: 10 Hrs: 7 Mins: 49 Seconds: 32
