Thanks Rusty, Butterfly and Casey for the info. I'm all for any type of rewards, virtual or real life! LOL I'm so looking forward to my quit (I can hardly believe I'm saying that!). They are threads that, once you reach a certain number of days, you are a member of "the beach" or "the boat." The beach is the Century Club, which you reach after 100 days. The boat takes you to the beach, and you "board" the "boat" at 50 days. They are basically incentives to keep newer quitters going and also gives a sense of commoroderie between members who are about the same number of days quit and it also gives a sense of achievement when you reach certain milestones. But it's also not exclusive. Feel free to post anywhere you want to. Oftentimes, people with fewer days will "peek in" and post and people with more days like me will check in to join the party and give encouragement. So, it's not exclusive at all! Hope that helps. Once upon a time, our dear friend Duffis created a virtual beach, as a reward for those who reach 100 days in their quit. Then a boat was created, so that those who reached 50 days could board and feel like they were on their way to the beach. There hasn't been a beach thread or a boat thread in a long time. Perhaps someone can start new ones!
