Delayette,
That's completely up to you. Nobody on this site has the right to tell you whether you should reset or not. The purpose of the meter is to motivate you... whichever method (reset or not reset) that motivates you the most to keep quitting is the right choice.
Some may say that nicotine is nicotine and that if you let this "slip" pass by without taking it seriously and resetting your meter, then you're opening the door to let it happen again. This is a serious addiction and if you allow yourself to smoke this time, what's to stop you from smoking next time?
Others may say that it was just a little "slip" and that resetting might be more of a deterent to staying quit because it's a constant reminder of the slip. It's like if you're climbing Mt. Everest and you stumble a little, do you go down to the bottom of the mountain to start all over? No, you keep going from where you fell and do whatever you can to make sure that it doesn't happen again.
My opinion is that the meter isn't as important at this point in time as is your plan to make sure that it doesn't happen again. Obviously, you were under a great deal of stress at the time, but you STILL managed to get a hold of yourself and realize what you were doing and put the cigarette out after just a puff. Hooray for you! But the fact is that for the next 9 months (and especially after that point), you're going to have a LOT more stressful times in your life!!! What will you do then? Make a plan and stick to it. The meter isn't important as long as you stay quit from here on out. Don't let this one "slip" start an avalanche! I commend you for coming here and being honest about the "slip" and for asking the group what they think. But the fact is that it's YOUR decision and nobody else's. Make the decision that will best help you stay quit forever!
