Tryagain, Are you getting exposed to alot of second hand smoke? Maybe some of that nicotine is sneaking it's way up your nostrils? I work right above the smoking area and I smell a faint smell of smoke in the morning, by afternoon it is gone and then I have my worst craves. Just a thought? I am thinking just the smell puts me at ease and without it I go a little crazy. Good luck you are really doing great! I wish I had your days. I like Bear's idea - get a boyfriend. My smoking hubby is gone for a few days - hasn't made a difference in the number of smoking thoughts I have. Just wondering how you are doing? try, Thanks for checking in and we know where you are coming from. What is causing this? Is it that your husband gets to steal a smoke now and then? Is this triggering your thoughts? Take the time to start a journal everyday and write out your thoughts and emotions. This can help pinpoint areas that are causing triggers and can also help relieve some of the extra stress. This is about you, so do you a favour and pamper yourself and get yourself moving. Do you have a hobby? Go out for coffee with the girls, sit in a book store and just read, or even take a 2 hour bath. Let this be about you and how your choice was a good one. You have made it to 128 and this is amazing. Think big rewards! We are here for you :) Josie, Support Specialist

Hey tryagain. Want another opinion ?? At 128 days these are not physical cravings your experiencing. The resentment suggests a get even attitude. These resentments may be a form of trigger for you.I,m not sure I understand "he can still breathe,I can,t" are you having some physical problems that you should be seeing a doctor about?? Sounds like we need a little distaction right about now a new hobbie, a new boy friend you get the idea. ;p My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/20/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 76 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,368 Amount Saved: $760.00 Life Gained: Days: 17 Hrs: 12 Mins: 49 Seconds: 37

Try again You know there is no time line here. Everyone's quit is different. 128 days is still a junior quit in my book. Also, I don't know whether I agree that there has to be a reason for "having so much trouble." If someone came up to me at 128 days and said, "are you STILL thinking about smoking?", I'd wouldn't respond well at all. From watching these boards for a long time, you are close to the turning point - where I believe things do get better....but only if you will let them. You are still mourning instead of celebrating the quit. YOU CAN BREATHE. Hip, Hip Hooray. YOU HAVE STOPPED SUFFOCATING YOURSELF. Hip, Hip Hooray. BETTER THAN FAIR CHANCE OF WAKING UP TOMORROW. Hip, Hip Hooray. I always tell my son.....when you start whining, you can be sure, you won't get what you want. In this case, the opposite is true, the whining is keeping you where you are at, and good chance the whiner will get what he wants....because no one is being the parent. It is important to acknowledge that you still have the desire. Nothing wrong with still thinking about it. A lot of people still have craves 1,2,3 years. How will you deal with it then? Change things up, and start dealing with the craves. You have gotten this far by doing something right, what is it? NOPE I know you are going to ride it out this time...till I catch up to you at least. You better wait for me! BELIEVE IN YOURSELF! Hello Tryagain You are not whining and you should post. It appears that you haven't been able to put the smoking thoughts aside. I see 30+ per day is hard. What are your distractions? Why have you quit? Hey Tryagain! If I was you, I'd be checking in with my Doc. You seem to be one of very few still having difficulty after such a long time. I am not trying to impose, but I am thinking, maybe there's a hormone inbalance or thyroid thing or some cause that is still giving you such grief. It's worth a try. There has to be a reason why you are having so much trouble! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 91 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,275 Amount Saved: $960.05 Life Gained: Days: 11 Hrs: 4 Mins: 52 Seconds: 34

I have not been posting. I am STILL not smoking. I stopped posting because I began to disgust myself. If I'm going to smoke - SMOKE, if I'm not going to smoke DON'T SMOKE. But for heaven's sake, tryagain, stop whining about it so! I've alienated more people than I care to think about with my constant "I wanna cigarette" cryin the blues. I caught my husband having an occasional cig and told him that was enough to make me buy a carton. Which would have gotten me where? Nowhere. That's where. If he wants to smoke, let him suffer. So, I got angry, resentful and feeling sorry for myself. He can still breathe, I can't. So there. I've been trying to keep quiet. I don't know what to do or how to handle this. I am sick of crying about not smoking and feeling like I still want to smoke. I have not seen any improvement since 60 days, in fact, it's only gotten worse. But, not bad enough to smoke evidently. I'm waiting, waiting for it to go away. I count the days, waiting. Waiting for the day when I don't have cravings. That's about it.
