Whoa...I have tried several anxiety/panic "support" groups, and let me tell you, they are anything but!!! Most of my posts where never answered, while I constantly helped others...very unrewarding! Anyhow, I've read over your forum, and it's just wonderful, the support that is given and received here!
A little about myself...I am a 29 year old stay at home mom, to my beautiful daughter, Abbey who is 2. I was diagnosed with anxiety/panic 9 years ago, and have been on Zoloft ever since (with the exception of my pregnancy). Post partum, I developed awful OCD< which is under control w/my Zoloft, and psychotherapy. Here is my upcoming concern...it's the distnce driving thing. I have got absolute butterflies/knots in my stomach for my upcoming vacation to the OUter Banks, b/c I have to drive the whole way (7 hours). My husband recently had surgery on his face/sinuses and cannot drive due to vertigo. The last time we went to the ocen (3 hours from our house)...I sincerely thought I was going to pass out. I began to see the dark & gold specks, and could NOT control my breathing enough to do my breathing techniques. Scared me to death..b/c my daughter was in the car. What would I do if I passed out while driving her??? Man, I'm a mess..and I would SO appreciate any encouragement/tips!
Thank you!
