Agoraphobia

Hello moca and welcome, You have come to the right place! Please feel free to roam the site at your own pace. If you look to the left of the screen under "TOOLS" you will find many supportive tests. These tests are not diagnostic tools and are not a replacement or substitute for a physicians advice. The purpose of these tests is to prepare you with information that you can present to your physician. When youre finished the test, you can either print your Final Report or email it directly to your doctor. We also have developed a Panic Program. This program is 12-weeks and involves the tools mentioned above. Each session is based on the previous session, so we strongly advise that you work slowly through the program and not jump ahead. If you have any questions or concerns with our "TOOLS" you can contact our support department at support@paniccenter.net. Regarding how to deal with your agroaphobia, you may wish to try some of the relaxation techniques such as deep breathing. This is easy to do and can be very effective. Not only does it keep your blood well-oxygenated, it helps to clear your thinking too. -you can sit, lie or stand, keep your back straight -keep one hand on your chest and the other on your abdomen -visualize your lungs filling with air as you inhale, you should feel your shoulders move up as your chest rises and fills with air -exhale through your mouth by blowing gently -remember to keep your facial muscles relaxed Everyone is an individual and as such may need to vary the duration and frequency of this technique. Please continue to explore this site and it's many great supportive features. Keep us posted with your progress, we look forward to hearing from you soon. I know how it feels, I used to panic on the train too, but that was a long time ago, and I have gotten over that one .... you can too. Keep trying the therapy etc., and if you need to see a doctor.

hi everyone I'm new to this group. I was wondering does anyone have any advise on overcoming agoraphobia. Today I was on the train and I had a panic attack. It was awful. I could really use any advise. Thanks
