Maths have never been my strong point Phil. :) Two wrongs don't make a right, thats all I learnt (yes I spent a lot of time in the headmasters office :) )
I've been watching the counter on the quit4life page as it counts the countdown in seconds :) I am sooo looking forward to it right now. Its a bit like new years eve. But in our so called summer :)

Kev love the negative numbers on your quit meter
How does it feel to have not smoked -275 cigs?
Hang on when I did algebra(100 years ago) 2 negatives = a positive?

and up to 2,500 for pubs ignoring the ban. I wonder how many will. My local is notoriously not with the times, though I keep reminding them. Actually come to think of it, its touch and go if they've remembered the beer :)
Ex Roller, they're not very good at heat placement. Its a bit like leaving your hairdryer at one place on your head i've found :) Especially if you're six foot +. Its all an incentive to give up. Especially in winter when it is howlin' a gale.

What a great celebration that will be!
It is great to see many countries pulling together and becoming smoke-free :)
(Phil, treat July 1st like a Tuesday :) )

Gen, it is going to be a major problem me thinks. Theres no requirement to provide any bins of sorts. Most of the pubs around me lead straight onto the road too. So not only will there be a sea of butts on the pavement but a sea of smokers to get past (the pavements are very narrow). Don't know if it the same in your area but we have ash busters, that walk around handing out fines to anyone who drops anything. Not only for ash of course. They will be a very very busy bunch come July 1st.
