Seamus, I don't get here often anymore but I came to check on you tonight. Just one thing to say really.... When your desire to quit outweighs your desire to smoke; you will quit. So, Seamus - now you have a chance to prove yourself wrong. Plan a quit date in the next 7 days and really do it this time. As you pass by each day smoke free, you will restore your faith in yourself and in turn you will learn to love yourself and build up self confidence. You will be in recovery and in need of support from your quit buddies, which you know you will get in shed loads from this site. Seamus, quit and come back - we will be delighted to have a smoke free Seamus join us - go on - you know you want to. The choice is yours :)

WOOHOO!! Rose!! for getting back on the wagon & giving it another go!! It is a hard thing & sometimes it takes more than once. Sometimes it takes more than 20 times but the one that matters is this one. You can do it, you will do it, you are doing it. Rose2007, We encourage you to sit down and look at the reasons for your smoking. What is the underlying issue? Stress? Coping strategies? We welcome you back to the boards and we are very happy to hear you haven't given up on quitting! Danielle, Bilingual Support Specialist

Seamus and friends, This is Rose2007. Some of the great people that have responded to you have also been trying to help me. I had a 160 day quit in my pocket, and then for some "reason" smoked. I have had about 10 smokes and have been having a hard time getting back on the program. For a week I have been buying a pack, smoking one or two and throwing it in the trash. Of course, I have been doing this behind my family's back. Oh yes all, I am NOT feeling good about myself at all. The people on this site have told me that I am strong based on the fact that I quit for 160+ days. Guess what, today I am going to believe them. I felt so bad that I finally told my daughter who is 22. She agreed to be there for me and will not tell anyone unless I smoked again. She will be a good support for me and it helped me to talk out face to face to her. So hear is my opportunity to save face, my health and not upset my family and friends. I am taking it. So here I am with a renewed viewpoint and wanting my quit back. I reset my meter and I am a non-smoker again as of right now. It is actually all about making a final decision. I am making mine. Join me if and when you are ready we will move forward to freedom. There will never be a better time for either of us. We can do this! Seamus, You cannot quit smoking while continuing to smoke. You aren't even trying. Anyone can read and post. Get off the fence and quit. There will never be a better time than now. Each day you continue to smoke will make it that much harder. Bite the bullet like the rest of us. Quit smoking.
