You've got the recipe for success blue cloud, smoking is not an option I do not want to smoke I'm not going to be a smoker I want to be free With that attitude, you can defeat all those pesky cravings. They die a slow death, but we can enjoy watching them fade slowly into our past. Congratulations on 8 whole days smoke free. new me My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/26/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 47 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,128 Amount Saved: $235.00 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 14 Mins: 30 Seconds: 39

Blue Cloud, don't worry... it DOES get better! Honest! The first few weeks are rough, or they often are. You've smoked for a lot of years, as did I... and it takes a while before we really start feeling comfortable with our new non-smoking lives. Sometimes I'm still not comfortable. But the times that I am... get longer and longer. These days... my bad times are less bad... and of short duration. But when I was at day 8? Mmmmm... it wasn't a whole lot of fun yet. But even then I could enjoy a lot of each day, I could enjoy my relationships... and my job. I just had to try a little harder to keep myself focused on the positives in my life. Blue Cloud, you're doing wonderfully well... and you need to give yourself a big pat on the back for keeping your eyes on the prize. You're just through hell week, and it may be a few days yet before you begin to relax a little. And even then, I won't kid you... there will be times when you may wonder if it's worth it. But it is! I promise you, it is! We're here for you, and we care about how you're doing. Just keep coming back, keep talking about how you're doing... good, bad or otherwise. Read, read, read... and keep yourself firmly involved with the solutions. We're with you, Blue Cloud!! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/6/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 128 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,200 Amount Saved: $1,184.00 Life Gained: Days: 20 Hrs: 17 Mins: 1 Seconds: 43

Just finishing my 9th day smober. It is unrealistic to think that I should not have cravings. I wish they would just go away. I am telling myself that smoking is not an option because I don't think the feelings I get with a craving are as bad as the feeling I had as an addict.I don't want to smoke and I'm not going to be a smoker. I want to be me. I want to feel free. You may see this kind of post from me often, this is how I am re-enforcing my quit.N.O.P.E. I've made it one more day.I was just as miserable before the quit as I am now. Time is in my favor.
