I have never had the good fortune of meeting collectively, such a caring, wonderful group of people. I am lucky to have you.
I have read every post very carefully, and teken them to heart.
I CAN do this.
I know what to do, I know what my triggers are, and most of all, I know the endless benefits of NOT smoking. Plus, spending $8.50 a day doesn't do a whole lot for my bank book.
This is the time to pick myself up and start again.
Lady, I especially like the "living one hour" at a time philosophy. I seemed to have forgotten that along the way. Don't look at the whole picture.
I remember giving advice to others about living one day at a time, one hour at a time, one crave at a time. Funny how we sometimes "conveniently" forget. Happy to have the reminder.
So, I have set my quit date for Saturday. Actually, I will be putting on my patch Friday evening before bed. I went out yesterday and bought a month's supply of patches on sale.
And the reward thing???? I need to take that one more seriously. I don't think I did much in the way of rewards last time.
I guess this means I've got some serious shopping ahead of me!
I want to say thank you to all of you, for your caring, your support, and your just being there.
Truly, I appreciate it.
Luv, Jan
