Hunkered down in the Rookery today...not feeling so good. Carbon Monoxide withdrawal causing major headache, lightheadedness, absolutely no energy....just generally icky. Also can't keep a thought in my head for longer than 10 seconds, which is a good thing because the junkie thoughts don't hang around for long either
I know this is only temporary, that it will get better. So I'm trying to keep up the blood sugar, drinking some water, lay down every half hour, and not ask too much of myself. I've told hubby not to expect too much from me today...he understands...he's been through this with me before.
Not asking for too much positiveness today...that takes a lot of energy. It's enough just not to go into the victim loop when it comes to personal accountability. I have a lot of thoughts of just how long this road is, but I discovered that even though the road is long and I have taken quite a few detours and steps back along the way, I can say that since I have joined this group there has been at least 250 days that I can count where I have been smoke free. Not all in a row of course, but nothing to sneeze at either...so I hold on to that...and count my blessings that I have chosen to add one more.
