Well Joyful, you know that I have been at this quitting business for a while. I think this is my 7th quit since I came to this site. I have never been able to keep it at a slip - I have always relapsed...for various periods of time. I think during my first quit here at the SSC, when I slipped, I didn't reset...but only until I slipped again. Since then I have always reset. This time, no slips, nor will there be. It is all or nothing for me. The pain of relapse is too painful to bear....NO MATTER WHAT is going on in my life. But that is me.
If setting the meter back, or not, is what is going to work for you...then do it. It only matters that you are quit NOW, and the you remember NOPE, from now on.
