Bear, I think you'll have a lot of responses to this thread and a lot of visitors to La Bistro! I don't know what it is about quitting smoking that has made so much possible in my life. Could be that I realized that I can do anything I set my mind to, or that I have so much more time, or more health and energy and adrenalin?
I work full time, which I did before, but now...instead of coming home and sitting in front of the television and smoking...I am a tutor and I'm getting my master's degree in multicultural/multilingual education. I'm 58 and I'm planning a new career when I retire from the one I have now. Oh, and I've also competed in a couple of walking races. I do love my life now, where before I just lived in a brown cloud of stinky smoke.
Rusty :)
