I am feeling much relieved! Not that my pain has disappeared. It is still aggravating me. Some hours I deal with it better than others. But I am relieved because I feel like I have gotten through the most difficult period smoke-free and maybe I can give myself a little mental break in that regard.
Also, I got some really fantastic news yesterday. My father, whom I thought had relapsed, because he stopped talking about it, is still smoke free after 4 months. I am simply amazed. After reading the Easy Way, he put the smokes down after some 60 years, and hasn't looked back. He gets a 'slight pang' every now and again, he say. I feel like such a wimp now when I think that a man who's every waking moment had a cigarette smoking beside him, and he just quit....that's it....over. So now I feel, like maybe I don't feel so bad as I thought I did. If he can do, darnit....so can I...and will.
