You're right, Bear. Thoughts are just thoughts and a thought of smoking is no different than a thought of flying to the moon. Kind of strange, random & not gonna happen.

Smoking thoughts.... I have them all the time. That's why I seldom post. What am I going to say? I still want to smoke, even though I'm physically all through. I want what I remember smoking to be, not what it really is - now.

Great post bear!
Yes I can certainly say too much emphasis is on thinking. I think (sic) I may be guilty of that.
Can I swap my thoughts of smoking for thoughts of skydiving? Not a snowballs chance in hades of me skydiving.

I agree with you Bear. We all have lots of thoughts that we don't act upon. I can admit to fleeting thoughts of murder at times when someone really ticks me off...but I don't act on it. I wonder what it would be like to jump on a freight train and go somewhere else, but I don't do it. I can imagine the feeling of skydiving, but I don't do that either.
Smoking is just another one of those thoughts I don't act upon.

Great post, Bear. That we have a thought of a certain kind shouldn't make us angry or sad. Just see the thought and let it go. Move along...nothing to see here.

I,m a little surprised how much importance we give to thoughts of smoking.First of all thats all they are "thoughts" and its not important that you have these thoughts its how you react to these thoughts. We place so much importance on "thinking " in this society that we have let two of our most important assets slide in to atrophy "intelligence and intuition" maybe our time would be better spent rediscovering these skills. ;p
