Hello Blue Cloud, Well, If I'm not mistaken BC, You diaganoised Your own case of addiction, You said it in Your bottom-line, ''Think Positive,''' by not thinking Positive, You are letting Your Guard down, And You really think that Nickodemon after 3 or 4 months is gone from your life, No, No, He is just around that corner from You, hopeing You will slip, I'm over the 4 year mark now, I very seldom think of a cigerette anymore, It's like!! Out of Sight, Out of Mind,' sort of thing, Why Dwell on Something You can't have, You go on with life and Your beautiful journey, Cigerettes are only a Crutch in Your mind, I have replaced Cigs with happiness and joy in my daily life, The longer You can go without a cig, the easier it is in Your journey, I love my new lifestyle of living, and You will too, Never loose that Positive Attitude, keep it with You at ALL TIMES, never leave that door ajar for temptation, Have a Beautiful Day, Smokless In Oklahoma :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/10/2003 Smoke-Free Days: 1682 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 50,460 Amount Saved: $7,198.96 Life Gained: Days: 393 Hrs: 7 Mins: 13 Seconds: 31

Victor Frankl said. " Ask not what life can do for you but what can you do for life . " Sound familiar. The only difference Frankel said it from a concentration camp. :8|: My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/20/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 210 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,780 Amount Saved: $2,100.00 Life Gained: Days: 48 Hrs: 0 Mins: 9 Seconds: 38

BC you are doing great. I do have to remind myself about H.A.L.T. and I also use the serenity prayer to. I can usually find what is going on by using them. This journey, for me, has be one trudge on some days and then there are days I just dance my way though. Why one day is so different from the other who knows. When I was younger I could blame it on hormones, not anymore. :p It is learning to live life on life's terms. Ruts can be ugly. Kick them to the door and let's celebrate life!!! Hey BC! This is a remarkable journey. I am still amazed at how we survived, not feeling any emotions all those years! And I am amazed at how wonderful it is to feel the emotions now, and how very intense some of them are. Why were we stupid enough to think smoking was doing anything for us at all? It is a remarkable journey to discover ourselves again, now that the smokescreen is gone. And all we had to do was say NOPE! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 225 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,625 Amount Saved: $2,373.75 Life Gained: Days: 27 Hrs: 10 Mins: 47 Seconds: 57

Isn't that an amazing realization, blue cloud, when you see how your quit is positiviely influencing your life in every way? Recognizing and appreciating things like that is a big help in keeping your quit, so keep it up. You're doing just awesome! In the process of learning to not smoke, I am beginning to aply all the "rules" to the rest of my life. Stress has been written about alot this past week and I have had my share. I am finding stressors for the stress. HALT, I ask myself several times a day. Is it any of these four things? Naturally being the person I am angry lonely and tired get out of bed with me. Why am I angry? because I am not living a dream life. What would be my dream life? When I really think about that maybe I am living my dream. Lonely? just when I make myself think I am. I don't have to be. That is a choice too. Tired? Tired of being in a rut. I am using all I have learned about smoking from this site and am applying it to ever day living. Getting out of the rut. Think positive. I do this a thousand times a day and I do not smoke. I am getting better by the minute.
