Do you have OCD? (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) That keeps you dwelling a lot. I'll have a song I love and then it gets stcuk in my head. I try and change it to another song and sometimes it works. During the time we were in hiding from Hurricane Frances, I had a Blue Oyster Cult song stuck in my head. I love the song, but I wanted it OUT! I get thoughts that race through my head. They could be good thoughts at first, but sometimes they turn to bad thoughts. When they start to multiply, that is the time to do something. Get up, go for a walk, excercise, take a cold shower. Go talk to someone you know. Do anything to break the cycle. Worst time it happens is at work. David

Blu3, The double edged sword is that the dwelling increases your anxiety which makes you dwell more (believe me I know this first hand in regard to different thoughts). You said it yourself, she is the most stable force in your life and you know she isn't cheating. Folow your own words and stop the dwelling. Best wishes!

Hi, My anxiety has been bad lately and i am wondering if anxiety can make you dwell on things more because im having alot of trouble with dwelling on thoughts.. i have a girl friend i have been with over a year now.. i love her so much, but another guy is obsessive over her and my dad was trying to help me figure out what t osay to him and he brought up cheating.. ever since its been stuck and i begin to see things as signs even through i doubt she is cheating highly infact i know she isnt but its driving me insane im so lost i cant get this out of my mind i have been really stressed out lately with my uncles death and school my panic is coming back- and now this god.. shes the only stable thing in my life i love her -sigh- any help will be great thank you :/ Mike -
