Anna I love you But I tried belching and farting but i think it was a mental thing. :eg: Thank's Mercy but if I try anymore double rewards I'll be as big as a house and deeper in debt. ;p My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/20/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 223 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,014 Amount Saved: $2,230.00 Life Gained: Days: 51 Hrs: 0 Mins: 1 Seconds: 46

You could always hibernate!!???!!!! :p Naw...only kidding. It's all part of the quit. Not the physical quit...the mental quit. Memories last a long time. ...maybe even a lifetime. But... they fade. Who ever forgets a lost love?....but in retrospect you realize it was for the best. Freedom doesn't come all at once....but in bits and pieces. Try two scoops of your icecream for a double reward. You deserve it. ROFLMAO, Anna. Bears are creatures of habit, so you have to develop another habit that you can look forward to at the end of a meal or a task accomplished. Maybe the ice cream isn't doing it for you, maybe you need some pie to go with it. Or maybe listen to a favourite CD, look through some old photo albums, something simple & right there, that you like that you can also make a habit of. You migh tbe a bit restless with Fall arriving, too, Bear. I know I am & I've been fighting triggers & cravings for about a month now, strong ones that I thought I was done with. Give me that big old paw & we'll hang on together, K? What kind of ice cream did you say you have? I know what you mean Bear, it's not quite the same like last night got the 4 yr. old gd to sleep put the poo in her crate for the night too early to go to bed but what a time for a cig. I don't have any of course so I got a new straw to puff on. What a pitiful picture here's this woman sucking on a cut off straw with a bend at the end. Even if I wasn't babysitting I doubt I'd have run out to buy any. Cigarettes Not Smoked

Bear, at an amazing 222 days, I think that's not a trigger for a smoke. That trigger is long gone by now. But it still could signal the need for a pat on the back or a bear-hug for a job well done or a meal well eaten! It could be that it's just one of those anti-climactic "now what?" boredom moods. How about making a plan for what you will do after the meal or the job? The next task, a walk around the yard, a nap, or an episode of Law and Order? Rusty :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/13/2004 Smoke-Free Days: 1049 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 29,372 Amount Saved: $3,671.50 Life Gained: Days: 147 Hrs: 23 Mins: 16 Seconds: 28

    Cigarettes Not Smoked

It's because you used a cigarette to signal the end of the meal or the reward at the end of a task. You can still create the reward and the signal of the end of a meal. Use a peppermint or spearmint candy! It works quite nicely. Tic tacs would work also. One at the end of a meal or at the end of a task. They do the trick as good, no, better than a cigarette and you know why! If you worry about calories, get the sugar free mints! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 237 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,925 Amount Saved: $2,500.35 Life Gained: Days: 28 Hrs: 23 Mins: 51 Seconds: 0

Bear, This is a struggle for many. It's a matter of practice and trying out different options. What can you think of that you like more than smoking? Members, Share your replacements! Danielle, Bilingual Support Specialist
