Hi CanadianMel!!! I would say that is crying is from the anxiety. I know how you feel I often cry becuase I get so frustrated with myself cause I just want to be normal again. But it does feel nice afterwards. I am on paxil too and just had to go up in meds. Hang in there hun it takes a while for it to kick in. I like to do relaxation exercises when I am anxious I find they calm me down alot. Hope you are feeling better!

Well today is my first day after switching from zoloft to paxil. I feel very tired and weak. It's almost like i'm high. I have some nausea. The doctor said to give it a week. So i guess i'll just have to wait and see. Did anybody else go through this? I just want to know if it gets better from here on?!

hey canadian i hope by this time you feel better :) 3 moths ago i was taking paxil and let me tell you that i was cry somethimes 2 times a day ( i never cry since i was child) was something that you can not stop!!!! my doctor told me that was my anxiety 'cause at the same time i felt a lump in my throat i can imagine how you feel right now! what help me was do breathing exercises 2 times a day for 20 minutes each time, and drink te. I'm 75% your symptoms are due to the anxiety but is a good idea if you talk with your doctor about any other side effects, i hope you feel better soon. Al. like you i lived in Canada if you what i can send you a copy of my CD "releasing tension and anxiety" let me know and i'll send you my e-mail ok.

Hey Mel, I'm certainly no expert, but when I took paxil I was nauseaus(sp?). I would have 4-5 spells of nausea a day that would last about 1/2-1 hour. I found that eating a couple crackers when I felt nauseaus to be helpful. It will also take a few weeks before you'll feel any of the effects of paxil (or about any SSRI, for that matter). Most Drs. say 4-6 weeks. Hope this helps, and I hope you feel better soon! :)

Hi, Wondering if anyone can help. I started taking Paxil yesterday 12.5 mg. felt kind of sleepy but nothing else, after I took todays I feel nausous and can't stop crying. Don't know if this is still the anxiety or the paxil...Is it too early to say if the paxil is doing anything? did anyone else feel really ****py during the first week of SSRI's? thanks!
