That makes perfect sense, Bear, and it goes right to what so many have said and what has been my experience. If you listen to what you really need and if you really face and deal with stress and adversity in your life, you end up so much stronger and calmer and more confident. Smoking never did help us to be calm or less stressed. All it did was keep up us from learning how to deal with stress and frustration. Sometimes, you find yourself in the sand. Take the time to figure out how you got there, where is the best way out & hoe can you stay away form it next time. Or just break out the sunscreen, an umbrella, some good friends & a beer, and have a laugh at your silly self. Always look for the best in the worst, Find the bright spot in the dark cloud, Turn lemons into lemon aid Dont look at it as a quit but an opputunity to grow. 1 less thing to remember when we leave the house!!! Today I was playing a golf game on my computer when I hit the ball into a sand trap .Now under normal circumstances the list of profanitys to follow would have turned the air blue. But today for what ever reason it cracked me up and I chose rather to see it as an opportunity.A opportunity to learn how to get the ball out of the sand. Now I know it's kind of silly to compare a computer game to life but is'nt that what life is all about. Not a game of course but a serious of opportunitys even in the face of disaster.I know that there are people here at this site that from time to time have some difficultes with their quit and life in general myself included but if we make it a habit to look for the opportunitys I'm sure it will make even the disasters a little easier to swallow.Well thanks for listening just an old man talking out loud again . ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/20/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 236 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,248 Amount Saved: $2,360.00 Life Gained: Days: 54 Hrs: 0 Mins: 2 Seconds: 58
