Way to go, you are doing great. One word of caution, do not let anyone smoke in your home, car or your space. Right now you are feeling like you have this under control. Oh, no the monster is waiting, be careful please. You have come though some really tough days, go get yourself a nice reward. Now let's kick ash on day 11. Wow Ginette, You sound like you are doing fabulous for only being 10 days into your quit....good for you. You have a great positive attitude, which is very important. you said that you don't know Why you let your friends smoke in your house? I don't either. Make them smoke outside! Cravings can sneak up on us and try and grab us. You don't need to be looking at people smoke..and your home doesn't need to be smokey, smelly. You want it FRESH and CLEAN smelling. If they are friends, they will understand. It only takes them 5 minutes to go outside and smoke, then they can come in and socialize in the clean smelling house. You are doing great. Keep that resolve strong. new me My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/26/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 208 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,992 Amount Saved: $1,040.00 Life Gained: Days: 28 Hrs: 15 Mins: 20 Seconds: 11

Thanks Josie, I will keep positive in my resolve. I'm being overprotective of my quit right now...I don't want to test myself any more than I have to. So far things have been pretty good. I sure can't complain. Ginette, Good for you! What a test you put yourself through! Keep positive in your resolve and know this is your quit and you can do what it takes to push forward. Remember, you body is continually healing and the adjustments will take time. If a symptom lasts longer than expected, check with your doctor to rule out anything medical :) Josie, Support Specialist

Well, I'm doing a lot better today. Not too many cravings...very few actually. Woke up this morning with one but I continued laying on the bed contemplating life and it went away. The rest was a breeze. I hope it continues like that for a while...it's a nice break. I had a few friends over today and a couple of them smoke. I allowed them to smoke, don't know why but I did. And it didn't even bother me in the least. I didn't particularly like the smell of it. I found it rather offensive. I lit a candle right after they left and it cleaned up most of the room of the smell. I'm looking forward to Day 11 and I hope I make it through Heck Week. I think I'll do it though. I'm not suffering like I was earlier in the quit. But I'm perspiring quite a bit. I guess that's part of the withdrawal symptoms eh? Anyway, just taking it one moment at a time and hope the rest of you are doing good. Take care all.
